Anna Stanislavovna Shcherbakova is a Russian figure skater. She is the 2022 Olympic champion, and the 2021 World champion, as well as many other events. Shcherbakova currently has the third-highest free skating score of any female skater, with 175.75 points, behind only compatriots Kamila Valieva and Alexandra Trusova.
She was the first senior woman to land a quad Lutz (the first woman to land it is training mate Alexandra Trusova) and the first woman to land two quads Lutz jumps in a single program. Alexander Hall or known colloquially as “A Hall”, is an American freestyle skier who competes internationally as a member of the US Freeskiing Slopestyle team. He competed in the 2017 FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships, the 2018 Winter Olympics, and the 2022 Winter Olympics. Hall won the gold medal in the men’s slopestyle skiing event at the 2022 Games in Beijing.
At 23 years of age, Alex Hall can proudly call himself an Olympic gold medallist. According to USA Today, the style, flair, and creativity that Hall brought to Beijing in 2022 will live long in the memory. His slopestyle gold-medal winning run included a huge double-cork on his first jump, then a memorable bounce off the knuckle in the wave section, and a jaw-dropping double-1080 to land switch and finish it off.

Juraj Slafkovsky is a Slovak professional ice hockey forward for the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected first overall in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft by the Canadiens, the highest-drafted Slovak player in the history of the NHL.
Slafkovsky first rose to prominence as a member of the Slovak national team at the 2022 Winter Olympics, where he played a pivotal role in Slovakia’s first-ever Olympic medal in hockey. Su Yiming is a Chinese snowboarder and teen breakout star who found his launchpad with an Olympic gold medal and an Olympic silver medal, all before his 18th birthday. By winning the 2021–22 FIS Snowboard World Cup Big Air event at Steamboat Ski Resort on 4th of December, 2021, he became the first Chinese snowboarder to take a World Cup podium position, according to Wikipedia.
During the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, Su Yiming became the first Chinese snowboarder to take gold in the big air event, creating history for the Olympics host nation. He also won silver in men’s snowboard slopestyle, taking second place to Canada’s Max Parrot, as mentioned in Forbes.
TOP 5: Eileen Feng Gu
Eileen Feng Gu is an American-born freestyle skier. At age 18, Gu became the youngest Olympic champion in freestyle skiing after winning gold medals in big air and halfpipe and a silver medal in slopestyle at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing.
According to Olympics, she is the first freestyle skier to win three medals at a single Winter Olympics. Owing to geopolitical tensions between the U.S. and China, her decision to switch from Team USA to China drew international attention.

Gabriella Maria Papadakis is a French ice dancer. With her partner, Guillaume Cizeron, she is a 2022 Olympic champion, 2018 Olympic silver medalist, and five-time World champion. They showed why they are among the best in the ranks by setting the highest score in history with 90.83 points in the rhythm dance program of the ice dance competition.

Chinese pair Sui Wenjing and Han Cong, who are double world champions and Olympic runners-up, had a perfect start to their Olympic adventure at home as they broke the record in the team event short program on 4th of February, 2022, scoring 82.83 points. But they went one better in the pairs short program on 18th of February, 2022, beating their record with a score of 84.41 to wow the home crowd inside the Capital Indoor Stadium, according to News.
TOP 2: Suzanne Schulting
The Netherlands’ Suzanne Schulting has taken the Olympic Winter Games by storm, setting three Olympic records, with her 1,000m short track time also the best in the world. According to the Olympics, on 11th of February, 2022, racing in the 1,000m quarter-final, the flying Dutchwoman finished the race in 1:26.514 to set a new world record and wow the crowd inside the Capital Indoor Stadium.
According to Wikipedia, she is also a two-time overall World Champion (2019, 2021) and three-time overall European Champion (2019, 2020, 2021), and the current world record holder for 1000m.
TOP 1: Nils van der Poel
Swedish speed skater Nils van der Poel had already won 5,000m gold in an Olympic record when he lined up in the final of the 10,000m. In a lightning-fast race on 11th February, he set an astonishing time of 12:30.74 to break his own 10,000m world record from February 2021.
According to Olympics, Van der Poel is known for his high training volume, focusing on long, low-intensity aerobic training like cycling. At the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, he won the gold medal in both the 5000 meters and the 10000 meters and gained Sweden its first-speed skating gold medal in 34 years. After the event, he donated one of his medals to Chinese political prisoner Gui Minhai to protest against human rights abuses in China.
