Her husband, Edward Grinnant, revealed the news on a B-52’s Facebook page, as first reported by The Guardian. Cruise was an occasional touring member of the band, acting as Cindy Wilson’s stand-in on stretches from 1992 to 1999.
According to Variety, Cruise was best known for her collaborative work with Lynch. Her biggest hit was “Falling,” with music by “Twin Peaks” composer Angelo Badalamenti and lyrics by Lynch.

Trailblazing actor Sidney Poitier who paved the way for Black stars in Hollywood by becoming the first Black man to win Best Actor at the Oscars, died on January 7, 2022 (Friday). According to NBC News, the certificate, issued by Los Angeles County, noted that Poitier’s career as an actor spanned 76 years.

Louie Anderson, a comedian and actor who mined laughs from his Minnesota upbringing and his girth for more than four decades and who won an Emmy Award in 2016 as the unlikely matriarch of the quirky, earnest TV comedy “Baskets,” died January 21, 2022 (Friday) at a hospital in Las Vegas. He was 68 years old, reported by Washington Post.
Like many stand-up comics of his era, Anderson found his big break when he appeared on “The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson” in 1984. It led to his being one of the biggest comics of the decade. He did stand-up comedy specials, made more late-night talk-show appearances, and landed roles in classics like 1986’s “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and 1988’s “Coming to America.”

Takeoff (Kirshnik Khari Ball) was a member of the successful rap group Migos. According to Insider, along with his uncle, Quavo, and cousin Offset, the trio became one of the most influential rap groups of their generation with hit songs like “Versace,” “Bad and Boujee,” “Stir Fry,” “MotorSport” with Cardi B, and “Walk It Talk It” with Drake.
The group was known for its unique rapping style in which the trio had short lyrics in which often another member would continue the rap with a single word or sound. BBC reported, Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was shot dead at a bowling alley while playing dice alongside Quavo in Houston, Texas, in the early hours of November 1, 2022 (Tuesday).

CNN reported that Aaron Carter, a former child pop singer and younger brother of Backstreet Boys’ Nick Carter, has died at 34. A teen pop star in the late 1990s and early 2000s, Carter released his debut album, “Aaron Carter,” in 1997 at the age of nine. His follow-up album, “Aaron’s Party (Come and Get It),” was released in 2000. According to TMZ, Carter died on November 5, 2022 (Saturday), after he was found dead in his bathtub inside his California home.

Jesse Koz was living his dream of traveling from his home country through America to reach Alaska when he crashed his 1978 Volkswagen Beetle into another vehicle.
Herald and News report that the 29-year-old swerved to avoid traffic on Highway 199 near Selma in Josephine County. According to Daily Mail, Koz, who had documented his trip on social media, had visited 17 countries since 2017.

Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman for three decades across almost three dozen television shows, movies, and video games, died on November 10, 2022 (Thursday), in Manhattan at his 66th. According to the New York Times, his death from intestinal cancer in a hospital was confirmed by his husband, Vaughn C. Williams.
Without ever showing his face, Mr. Conroy spent more time playing Batman than any actor who donned the character’s signature cape and masked on screen. His distinctively deep and raspy voice helped define the character in nearly 60 different productions, including 15 films, 15 animated series that spanned almost 400 episodes, and two dozen video games, according to DC Comics. However, for some, he’s the greatest Batman though you only heard his voice.

Known over the world for playing half-human, half-giant Rubeus Hagrid in the “Harry Potter” movies, Robbie Coltrane died at the age of 72 on October 14, 2022 (Friday). As reported by multiple UK outlets, the actor died following multiple organ failures. It also noted that he was diagnosed with obesity and Type 2 Diabetes.
According to Deadline, he would win the British Academy Television Award for best actor in three consecutive years for his work on the show. In movies, his credits included: “Mona Lisa,” “Henry V,” “Nuns on the Run,” “Ocean’s Twelve,” Pixar’s “Brave,” and as Russian gangster Valentin Dmitrovich Zukovsky in two James Bond movies, 1995’s “GoldenEye” and 1999’s “The World’s Not Enough.”
